The explosion of social media has created a level playing field between large and small organizations. The days are gone when television ruled the advertising landscape. New technology has made it more affordable for all businesses to promote and interact with there customers. Any company can set up a blog or log on to facebook or twitter.
Even though these mediums are inexpensive to start-up, they can be time consuming or even costly to have someone else manage them for you. Don’t worry if you are unfamiliar with this new form of interaction, there are some free social media tools available.
Most social media sites and third party applications that are designed to simplify your social media experience offer some sort of free items to try and get you to sign up for their subscribed tools. The trick is finding the best ones so you don’t have to invest a lot of capital into your social media. One third party application company I like is Involver.
Are you looking to customize your facebook fan page? Involver can make it easy with their facebook applications. What types of free social media tools does involver provide? Well, to list a few there is an app to put your twitter stream, you tube channel, or flicker photos on facebook.
In the case of free social media tools, you can only use two of these apps for free. If you want to use more than one app you need to subscribe to their professional level. Involver has some apps that you can only use if you subscribe to the professional level which includes feedback, contact sheets, and welcome pages.
There are two free apps that I like and those are Klout coupons and Static HTML. Klout is a tool used to measure a users online influence. Using the Klout coupons you are able to target your most valuable promotions to your most influential fans.
The other free social media tool that is worth a try is Static HTML. Facebook has decided to use an iFrame format which allows fan pages to incorporate photos and static HTML on separate tabs. All of the tools at involver allows brands to further differentiate themselves from their competition.
Let me know if you have used any of these social media tools and suggest others that have worked for you.
