It feels like you’ve been pouring your sweat, blood, and tears into your online business – but you’ve yet to reap any major rewards. You can’t even count the number of days you’ve spent hunched over your computer, all in the hopes that you’ll see some kind of income trickle into your bank account. And don’t even get started on all the missed opportunities you had for spending quality time with your family members and friends.
-
You might be wondering why I’m bringing up these depressing images. No, I’m not trying to drag you down. Instead, I’m trying to get you to examine a crucial part of the online marketing experience:
-
Knowing whether you should keep going on, or when it’s time to throw in the towel.
-
Hey, I’m not one for giving up. And I’m definitely not one for hiding the truth about online marketing. It’s hard. No, scratch that: it’s downright tough. There are dozens of obstacles you’ll encounter on your way to the top, and a majority of them will make you feel like it’s time for you to give up.
-
But how can you recognize the difference between an off-day, and when you should give up on the online dream?
-
Ideally, you wouldn’t ever give up on the online dream. So I want you to see if any of these things have happened to you recently:
-
-
You’ve sunk in so much money in your online business that it’s actually affecting the way you and your family are living.
-
You’re actually getting sick due to the stress and anxiety that comes hand in hand with building an online business.
-
You’re feeling that your industry is filled with marketers who have better ideas, more creative selling techniques that you don’t feel you can overcome. (in that case, you’ll never make money in this industry).
-
You’re not prepared to put in the hard work and dedication for your online business.
-
If you recognize yourself in any of these scenarios, it might be an indication to re-examine your business before actually thinking about throwing in the towel.
-
BECAUSE if you feel confident in what you are building, you just might be having some ‘off’ days – it’s time to consider giving your business an extra boost.
-
Get some guidance from a mentor who can show you how to do it differently. Whether that is with a coach, like myself, a business colleague, former teacher or other business professionals … make the decision to take action. Don’t drag it out any further, your chance for success will be much greater for it.
