I don’t use LinkedIn as offen as I should. Its hard to spend so much time on all these different social media sites and sometimes it’s overwhelming.
But I like the groups I am in and have found them helpful, when I do take the time to go to my account.
Thanks for sharing Lynn.

It does take time and effort as you say Cindy. I’m glad to hear that you are involved in some of the groups and you are finding them helpful. As I mentioned to Hajra below, even if you don’t have time to leave comments on discussions, you can just click in and hit that “like” button. Or ‘like’ one of the members responses. This will put your profile in the ‘Latest updates’ box. Gives you more visibility with little effort. Hmmm maybe a tip I should put on video!
Which would you say is topping out or having the most traffic… LinkedIn or Facebook? I don’t know if it’s just those I’m friends with, but Facebook heavy these days with business type of posts more than the personal.
I’ve been a part of LinkedIn longer than Facebook, and really want to make “in” my main access point. I’m nodding my head as I type these words: JUST DO IT!
It is always an interesting comparison to discuss. For me PeggyLee, Linkedin has provided my business much more viability, searchability and traffic. In fact, when you search Google for Lynn Brown, CA — my Linkedin profile is on the 1st page out of 16.4 million results.
While Facebook is still a major player for social interaction, I feel that Linkedin is all business. So I still put time into both platforms and will continue to find features and benefits too. But ultimately I am seeing better results from Linkedin. As you say PeggyLee, Just Do It, and see even after a few months if you don’t see an improvement and more results for your business, my best is that you will!
One thing I have found with some groups though is that they are so crowded or so dominated by some people as to not be useful. Other groups have pedantic anally challenged managers and some groups just fall over. And then there are other groups I really enjoy

I here you Roberta. The one group I am in has over 200,000 members. Even though it is crowded, I was able to make and continue to make so many wonderful connections. And just the other day I removed myself from a group because there was only 3 of us contributing and really was not the best use of my time.
But that is what I love about Linkedin. The variety and features of groups can provide huge benefits for any business. Thank you for sharing your comments
I used Linkedin when I started blogging and that is where I started to meet some amazing bloggers. The discussions are very helpful and they have proved a great learning resource for me.

I agree Hajra, the discussions can garnish really good information but I am finding many other benefits, for instance, every time you ‘like’ a discussion, it is yet another small way to bring more visibility to you and your profile. Thank you for Hajra for sharing your experience with Linkedin.
Another resource which I don’t properly use. But, this is great advice for those that do- and should! (like me…)
