There may be days you feel so overwhelmed that you feel like quitting. There may also be days you get so fed up with everything that you wonder, “Why even bother?” Then, there may be days you’re so tired that you dream of running away and taking a vacation.
-
Well, perhaps you do need a vacation, but that is not necessarily the answer. Instead, it’s time to say, “Nothing will stand in the way of achieving online business success!” After realizing the truth within that statement, it will seem much easier to devote the time and effort your business needs and requires. So…take away the frustration! It’s time to start motivating yourself!
-
Stop making excuses and start choosing to succeed. Here is a list of 10 ways to facilitate your ability to make great choices for your online business success:
-
1. Choose to succeed – Everyday accomplishments are small successes that you should be proud of.
2. Choose to share your passion – Share what you love with others, not only in your professional life but also in your personal life.
3. Choose to start each day with positive thoughts – Wake up and make a point to start the day knowing you can succeed in your tasks.
4. Choose to acknowledge the positive – Let negativity roll off your back and nurture the positive things that happen.
5. Choose to manage your business – Don’t just deal with the good stuff…embrace every aspect and resolve issues when they arise. Avoiding difficulties won’t make them disappear!
6. Choose to separate from negativity – Seek out up-beat people and don’t let others drag you down.
7. Choose to join groups – Online and offline groups are a great support system and they help grow your business.
8. Choose to be flexible - When things don’t go the way that you planned, pull out “Plan B.”
9. Choose to stay on course – Your plan for success needs to be played out to the end. You may need to tweak it, but stick to your plan.
10. Choose to give yourself a break – Be proud of all the hard work you put into your business.
-
If you ever feel like giving up, just remember…don’t give in to frustration or feelings of being overwhelmed. Instead, strive to be all that you can be and make the necessary choices!

Great post, Lynn! One of the things that I have been learning to master is to do things afraid. Change is scary, and that feeling of fear is more than enough for us to start making excuses. At least that’s how I am. The moment that I made the decision to go through with it in spite of the fear, everything starts getting easier. So often I would find myself looking back and smile, realizing that it wasn’t as bad as I first thought it would be.

Way to go Adeline, it is all about breaking through your fears and moving forward. Sounds like you found how you can do just that and even though it isn’t easy, you made the decision to just do it. I think so many can be inspired by your experience.
Thank you so much for sharing your comments, really glad that you stopped by today and hope to see you again soon. Have a wonderful day!

Some excellent points there. I agree with you fully on all pointing mentioned there. We always have choice. Choosing the right choice is the difference between success and failure. Online success requires a lot of dedication, time, and hard work.

Good point, Masood…we always have choices. One can choose to take action or choose not to take action — either way, one is still making a choice. Success does take hard work & dedication, that’s for sure. Hopefully, you’re working hard & working smart at something you’re passionate about…so it’s really not work, but engaging in an activity you thoroughly enjoy & excel at! Thanks for stopping by & for sharing your thoughts. Have a fantastic weekend!
Hi Lynn,
What would I say?
Great ways we can motivate ourselves and lead our business into success. I think if we are really serious about what we do, most of them would be come out naturally, no?
However we are not perfect humans.
For me, earlier, there’s one thing that drags me down – Being afraid of future. I think self-esteem is really effective on this. Personally I know that if we don’t proud of what we do, definitely negativity will come play in our minds. Anyway MUSIC helps refresh my mind in that time
Another thing is that people don’t do what they say. They read lot of articles, posts and resources, then share, bookmark but no action on it. If we just apply what we read in few single lines, that can make a change. I know it
That’s how people build success. Isn’t it true Lynn?
Cheers…

Mayura: Such a thoughtful response…thank you so much for that. The future can be a scary thing…or you can turn that thought process around and think, “The future, ultimately, holds only success for me! I might have ‘learning moments’ along the way, but learning is a great thing & only serves to make me a better & more successful person!” We can only control our actions & the way we react to things — which is HUGE when you think about it. If we react positively to what most people term “failure,” we learn from that event, take the information we’ve learned, become better for having gone through the situation & can use that new knowledge & experience to our benefit! It’s all a matter of how we choose to think about things & how we choose to react to things…choice is powerful!
It’s funny that you mention the power of music. Currently, I’m doing a bit of research about the power music has on our cognitive & physical abilities. It’s fascinating!
I like the point you make about people reading resources/sharing/bookmarking, but doing nothing with it…so true! Gathering all that information and storing it away like squirrels storing nuts for the winter can create “information clutter.” I think it’s great to gather information, but perhaps choose 1 or 2 areas to focus upon at a time…then, take the information, internalize it & take action. Action is the key word, right?!
Again, thanks so much for your thoughtful comments & I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Great list, Lynn! Long ago I learned that I always have choices. There are always options. I just need to step out of my box and look for creative ones! And I have found that being successful in online business is not so much about the destination, but the journey. And it’s an incredible, transformational journey at that!

Exactly, Alicia! I think so many times we look at the “big picture” & get overwhelmed. Whereas, if you just start making small choices to do this or that…it is less overwhelming. Plus…I like “simple” — complexity takes to much energy

Hi Lynn,
It can make such a difference when one decides to choose as oppose to endure things.
Many people have never even thought that they could choose what’ s happening to them. Enduring is a form of powerless state while choosing is empowering. Thanks for this list of things we can choose.
Sylviane Nuccio recently posted..Passing Along The Sisterhood Of The World’s Bloggers Award
Oh wow! What a powerful way to summarize everything…choosing instead of enduring…love it! Not to mention the wisdom of your statement about “enduring” = “powerlessness.” I can’t thank you enough for your thoughtful comments!
Another example where shoulda, coulda, woulda gets you nowhere. Am, can, and done are all that count.

This is an inspiring post Lynn, really good points. I also like to have plan C and D behind B
#6 is the hardest one for me. I ‘d love more tips on that one.
Lisa recently posted..Triberr Can Really Rock Your Blog!
You’re absolutely right, Lisa…many times it takes more than just a “Plan B.” I’m glad you found the information useful & inspiring. As for #6…that is a toughie, isn’t it? Let’s be realistic…we’re not going to ever be completely “zen”
but, I think it’s important to truly understand we won’t ever be able to make everyone happy all of the time. As long as we can be comfortable with that frame of mind, #6 should become much easier to achieve! Thanks for taking a bit of time to share your thoughts & have a super day!
Wow, that’s it, never thought of it like that Lynn, Thanks! I will try to keep that one in mind going forward.

And we got to share an “ah-ha” moment…yeah!!!
Those are really excellent points, Lyn! One thing I’m doing is that I fill out a gratitude journal (an app in my phone) every night to note all the good things that happened to me that I’m grateful for. That way I train my brain to always look for and appreciate the positive things that happened to me during the day.
Wow! What a great way to do a gratitude journal…so convenient! We always tend to have our phones right by our side, so why not utilize the technology in such a positive way?! That’s also a very nice way to wind down the day…focusing on positivity in our lives. Thank you so much for sharing your comments & I wish you a “positive”-ly wonderful day
Great post Lynn! Being positive is an important part of, not only business, but life in general. Without it, you won’t be able to succeed because you will always be doubting yourself and never getting anything done.
Matt Smith recently posted..Tips to Make Your Small Business Grow
Great point, Matt! If we start doubting every decision, we just start spinning our wheels & go nowhere. Every decision we make might not be the absolute “perfect” decision, but it’s a decision made with the best intentions and the best knowledge we have at the time. Thanks for dropping by today and sharing your thoughts on the subject! Have a good one
