Online Marketing Success 300x265 Achieve Online Marketing Success with Your Inner Mindset
When it comes to achieving online marketing success,

you may think that you only need an arsenal of top-notch marketing tools and the  guidance of an expert to help you succeed.   But dig a little deeper, and you’ll quickly discover something crucial about the final outcome of your online marketing business:  if your inner mindset isn’t tuned towards positivity, confidence and determination, then you’ve set yourself up for failure before you even started.

I recently asked a question

on my Facebook fan page wondering what was the one thing that helped you and your ebusiness?

“I don’t think it matters what tools and strategies you use,” says online marketer Carol Dodsley (TheHow2Girl.com).  “If your inner mindset is not in the right place, if your core desires are not clear, and you do not have the confidence or belief in yourself, everything will be a struggle.”

Dodsley touches on a crucial point here.  Without the determination to see your online marketing business through those inevitable dry spells, it can be too easy to give up on your Internet enterprise because “it’s too hard.”

Of course, everything that’s worth doing is “hard” – but if you tend to throw in the reins when the road gets touch, take a closer look at why you have that gut reaction.  Is it because, deep down, you truly believe you won’t succeed?  Do you lack the confidence to pursue your dreams because you feel like you don’t “deserve” it?

Work on adjusting your frame of mind

so that it’s more positive, and you’ll not only reap emotional rewards, but financial ones as well, like marketer Kristen Robinson (KR Design) shared with me: “It’s accounted for over 75% of my sales, and I’ve met awesome business owners who love to help. Giver’s Gain!”

Free yourself from your emotional obstacles so you can finally achieve the online marketing success you deserve.

Share your thoughts below on how you overcome any struggles that might get in your way.

Wishing you and your business much Success!

  1. Lynn,
This post is so interesting because it combines both marketing tips and mindset, both of which are pillars to successful results for small business owners!
    Thank you great insight.

Thank you Patricia. I love how you verbalize “pillars to successful results” – a wonderful insight. I appreciate you stopping by today and look forward to you visiting again soon.

  2. Peter says:

Yep, that’s a great introduction to the ‘mindset’ topic.

Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. But I’m always happy to see how marketers nowadays dedicate more focus and energy to becoming good in this area.

This is the way things should be – every successful internet marketer will confirm how important the mindset part is.

Congrats for the article and I’ll be watching your blog!
    Peter

    • Lynn Brown says:

Thanks Peter! I agree with you 100%. Mindset is probably least talked about but the most important. Even though as you say, its the tip of the iceberg, it really is the first place a ‘want to be’ entrepreneur should evaluate before diving in.

Really appreciate you stopping by and glad you will be back to visit again.

  3. Mindset is the key to all success – well said Lynn. But then you always say it so well

  4. Great article Lynn I find so often there are people teaching mindset and people teaching marketing – when in reality it all dovetails together – knowing the theory of marketing without having your inner mindset set for success and belief in what you are doing is like having a car without an engine and  there is no point learning how to push the buttons and stear your car if the engine doesnt work!  :)

    • Lynn Brown says:

That is a great way to look at it Carol! and it really is about ‘dovetailing’ the two so that you are in harmony moving your business forward.

Thank you again for contributing to this article as you provide wonderful insight and inspiration!

  5. Chris says:

I love how you set up this discussion Lynn! I did a seminar this morning and I began by saying, I can teach you all of the strategies I’ve learned at the knee of millionaire marketers and it won’t be worth a damn without the mindset to succeed.

And having learned as much as I now know and continue to learn, it’s truly the key to my success as an entrepreneur!

    • Lynn Brown says:

Your insight is amazing Chris. What great advice to give at your seminar. You can’t sugar coat it, fake it or pay for it…. as you say, you have to ‘have the mindset to succeed.’

Really appreciate you sharing this today Chris, very helpful for everyone.

  6. Right on the money.  (Pun intended.)
Put a smile on your face.  Put a metaphoric smile on your thoughts.  That attitude will exude to your actions.  And, they will be in concert with your goals.  Because if they’re not- you’ll feel troubled.  And your smile will evaporate.  And, you know there’s something out of tune.  Get yourself in tune with your vision and achieve your goals.

    • Lynn Brown says:

Love that statement Roy! You hit the nail on the head and I really like your statement …. “Put a smile on your thoughts…. the attitude will exude to your actions”. I so much believe that to be true. Many years ago in one of the many marketing classess I attended, the instructor told us that before we get on that phone to talk with potential clients or customers, to stop, think, and put a big smile on your face. And I apply that today even when I get ‘online’ to socially talk with potential clients and customers.

Really appreciate you stopping by and adding this great advice!

  7. Hey Lynn,

I’ve recently started to keep a daily journal and I think taking the time each day to sit down and reflect and write down what is going on in my life has been a huge help.

What I find most interesting with building an online/network marketing business is when I talk with some of my recent team members, the ones that aren’t duplicating or putting in much effort, they all tell me the same thing.  ”I wish I had your enthusiasm about the business”… What I just realized after reading your post is, they actually are saying, I don’t believe in myself… I am not confident or I don’t treat this like a business. Once again because they don’t believe IT IS a real business and that they can achieve true success.  I’ll never understand how someone can plop down, 200, or 500 dollars for the opportunity to have their own business, and then not work toward building it.  Maybe the investment is too low so they don’t take it seriously or they just don’t BELIEVE…

    Thanks for the great post!

Journals are a great way to keep you focused and grounded for your daily business and life!  Thanks Richard for sharing that.

I think you are right about your team members, it could be as easy as a lack of confidence especially if they are use to getting a weekly paycheck.  An online business can fluctuate with income and profits.  But that is what I like as it keeps me motiivated to do better the next week or the next month.  So goals are important to maintain a self-confidence.

However, I see your point Richard about someone investing money into a program or business and then do nothing to cultivate, grow and reap the rewards.  I guess it comes down to each individuals ‘belief’ and that is what is necessary for them to wake up in the morning and want to work their business.  You have always maintained a positive business belief as I think we have now known each other for almost a year now.  Maybe your enthusiasm will rub off on some of your team members! lol

Really appreciate you stopping in today and adding your thoughts and advicce.
