While social media sites are the best ways to bring awareness about you, your business and products — it won’t help if your site isn’t producing results — Sales!

Double check to see if you have the following points covered:

Knowing Your Market Niche  -  An important aspect to your online business is providing information, products and services to those that are searching for what you are offering.  Understanding your market niche, demand and competition is vital.  This is a step you do not want to short change yourself on.

Double Check Your Keywords  -  Keyword research is a huge factor in producing your site, profile, ads and everything else that pertains to promoting your online business.  So if sales are not what you are expecting, revisiting your keywords should be considered.  Research your current list of keywords and modify your list according to the information you discover.

Is Your Site User Friendly  -   Nothing is more frustrating than visiting a site and you have to figure out how to purchase your product or service.  If your potential customer finds it too difficult to navigate your site, chances are they are leaving and may not return.  Worse, they could tell others about their experience.  So make sure your site is easy to understand to everyone.   

Are You Communicating  -  It could be surprising but people like to be told what to do.  So if your posts, articles or ads are not suggesting or telling your reader what you want from them, chances are they may be just reading and not thinking about taking the next step.  So be clear with your audience when you are communicating your desires.  Of course, I’m not suggesting being blunt and forward, but rather helpful and polite.  This point in itself could make a huge difference in seeing more visitors and sales.

  1. Thanks for these valuable points, Lynn. I think I do all of them but the last one. I realize that usually my blog posts do not have any call to action. I was thinking that the posts would be interesting enough to visitors that they would check out my site, etc. But this reminds me that I need to tell them the next step.

      information is compeling enough, visitors would want to talk about it. But
      once I started to implement this technique, it really does help the reader
      know, it is ok to comment, leave ideas, suggestions or even if you disagree,
      it is a great way for everyone to learn. Really do appreciate your thoughts
      on this.
