You know that creating videos can be a great way to drive tons of attention – not to mention traffic – to your blog. Video marketing is this year’s hot button, and all the best online entrepreneurs are touting videos as one of the best ways to get online readers to sit up and take notice of your business.
-
If you want to jump on board the video marketing train, but haven’t the slightest idea what to film, here’s a great way to produce a bunch of videos in a short amount of time:
-
TOP TIP >>> Turn blog posts into videos!
-
By turning a blog post into a video, you’ll not only come up with some great and engaging content, but you’ll also be handed a fantastic opportunity to drive tons of traffic to your website. Use these two quick-fire techniques to get started on your video marketing spree:
-
-
Don’t read your blog post verbatim. Instead, you’ll want to discuss the topic in a way that’s natural to you. Pretend you’re talking about your blog post with a friend over a cup of coffee. This relaxed and confident way of speaking will pique your viewers’ interest.
-
-
The goal of the video is to get your viewers to click through to your blog post. What’s the best way to get them to take this action? Simply save the best part of your blog post for the actual post. Tease your viewers by letting them know you’ve saved the best for last, then provide a link to your blog in the video. You’ll see conversion rates skyrocket thanks to this technique.
-
Remember to be natural, friendly, and open when filming your videos. Not ready to get in front of the camera? Put together a quick Powerpoint presentation and do a screencast video with your voice narrating each slide.
-
And above all, have fun with it. The videos don’t have to be too long. Think of the video as a trailer for the blog post – and you don’t want to reveal all the best parts in the preview, do you? Build some interest and curiosity so your audience will want to click through to your blog!

HERE IS MY EXAMPLE FOR THIS BLOG POST:

So let me know if these were helpful tips and will it get you to start producing videos or increasing the videos to your YouTube channel?

Great tips and thank you so much for example… that was great!!
Oh yes, go for it Peggy! I found that when I add a video to my channel I get immediate reaction. Plus it helps to rank you in the search engines too. When you make your videos, please be sure to share them, and I will be happy to help you promote them. Have fun!

Hi Lynn,
Many thanks for sharing this tip. I do like watching videos a lot myself to keep up to date and for that reason , I always enjoying seeing tips for video marketing. I think one of the important points with video is a clear focused message with good sound. A friend of mine who is an expert in the field always says people will forgive the quality of graphics but not sound. Also I really like your point about the importance of being friendly. take care Rosemary
Rosemary O’Shaughnessy recently posted..Google Chrome Addon …Here is An Awesome Chrome Addon ??
That is a really good tip Rosemary…. sound quality is a must. If I can’t understand or if I have turned all my dials up and still can’t hear the person in the video, I click away. So you are right, sound is really important.
Appreciate you coming by and sharing your comments and advice. Always a pleasure when you visit!
thank you for sharing this very useful information with us i really enjoyed reading all about this and learning it.great post.

Hi Lynn, videos are always better than words and converting a blog post to video is one of the best ways to repurpose your content and get even more traffic, I have converted some of my posts to videos in the past and these videos keep sending me traffic every day, thanks for sharing…
Kostas recently posted..5 Marketing Lessons We can Learn from The Avengers Movie
Thanks Kostas for sharing the kind of results you are seeing by using videos for your blog posts. Videos seem to keep being more popular. Visual is what a lot of people are attracted to and if you give them good advice or information, well then you have a winning ticket.
Appreciate you taking the time today to share your comments.
I hadn’t thought of using my blog posts Lynn, thanks for the tip and inspiration! For me the biggest challenge is using my own voice for a video – primarily because I work at home and am surrounded by the lovely sounds of chickens, roosters and barking dogs … and on weekends of the sounds of Tahitian drummers practicing at the nearby park. But I’m determined to find a way to expand a bit more into video. Thanks again

marquita herald recently posted..How to Turn I Wish Into I Will
That sounds so cool Marquita! I think your audience would appreciate your background sounds, only because you can make mention on them and keep your videos lively and fun. I sure hope you will let me know when you produce a video. Thanks for stopping by today and sharing your thoughts – glad that I could offer a bit of inspiration too. Have a wonderful ‘rest of the week’.
Thanks for the kick in the tail. Now I’m more motivated to film more videos. These tips definitely will come in handy. Excellent blog post!

I don’t want to kick, but maybe push, lol!! But glad to help out Lisa. And please do share your next video with me as I will be happy to help you promote it. You have a lot of articles on your blog that you could do short videos that builds that interest to want to click into read and learn your wonderful tips and ideas.
Thanks Lisa for visiting and look forward to seeing you again soon!
It’s an interesting suggestion, Lynn, to let your video serve as a “trailer” for your blog post.
I’ve done a lot of “video blogs” but the videos were, in and of themselves, the substance of the post, not a teaser for them. The posts, themselves, served mostly as edification for the video.
Having read this post, though, I think I will flip the script on this method to see how it works. I’ll do some videos that entice viewers to go to my blog post to get the full information, instead of spilling the best part of the message on the video itself.
Thanks for this, Lynn.
David Merrill recently posted..Leverage | Stealth Internet Marketing
I like your verbiage for it David …. video ‘trailer’, that is exactly what it is. Because keeping it short and building the curiosity is exactly what this tip is all about. Just like we see when they are sharing a new movie, they give us short quick clips that build interest and curiosity to go see that movie!!
So when you make your next video and ‘flip the scrip’, please let me know. I will be happy to help you promote it as well. Thanks so much for stopping by today and adding your thoughts.
i like this just be myself and talk about my post and not read it word for word thanks for this
Tanisha recently posted..Most Powerful Moms, Mothers Day 2012
You are welcome Tanisha and please be sure to let me know when you make your next video! I visited your blog today and enjoyed your list of amazing women!
I think there are a lot of people like me- who know we can read a post faster than we can learn what it says from video. Couple that with the fact that a lot of my reading is done in an office, where the audio can be disturbing to others, means I have not included this in my portfolio.
But, I am always intrigued with the concept…
Roy A. Ackerman, Ph.D., E.A. recently posted..Follow the Leader? Only if s/he leads…
i think audios are much quicker, more engaging remember Roy youtube is he #1 watched channel
Tanisha recently posted..Most Powerful Moms, Mothers Day 2012
I can understand your point Roy but I also agree with Tanisha. YouTube is also the most popular search engine, even ahead of Google. So if you wanted to get your company, event, product or service noticed more quickly, short videos would be a great way to bring attention.
Glad you shared the point of view about those folks that prefer to read rather than watch, because there are still a lot of people that do prefer that. So thanks for sharing your comments. Always appreciate you stopping by!
Hi Lynne, YouTube is a powerful source for driving targeting traffic to your blog. Many times it’s much easier for your content to appear in YouTube search than it is in Google search so this tip is a sure winner. I really like the graphics you’re using in the video too. Awesome job. Thanks Lynne!
Ileane recently posted..Take Your Small Biz Videos to the Next Level with Viewbix
You make a very good point Ileane …. YouTube search is a more popular search than Google. Only because most people now want a visual explanation of what they are searching for. I’m glad that you stopped by and added that to the discussion. It is yet another reason why videos really do work!
Glad you enjoyed the graphics
Love making video when its not me but thinking that recording online meetings is even more fun and instructive
Roberta Budvietas, recently posted..3 ways to deal with “Unfairness”
Oh yes that is a good idea Roberta … recording your online meetings is a great way to build an audience. You can promote that video for those that couldn’t make it to the event or as a prelude to learning more about your blog/site or other products and services.
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing that Roberta.
This is a very good example Lynn on how to use what we already have to create some good and attractive videos.
Being natural on videos has been quite of a challenge to me and like everything it takes some trial and error practice until we are 100% natural offering good tips in a short juicy video.
Thanks Lynn see you soon online!

This tip can be made in literally 1/2 hour from start to publishing it on YouTube. One thing I know you have mentioned is how to manage our time effectively. I find that keeping it simple is one way to accomplish that.
When you turn one of your blog posts into a video, please be sure to share with me and I will be happy to blast it out for you! Have fun and thanks so much for stopping by to leave your comments.
Yes, will see you online!
I am a hard working guy when it comes to creating a simple slideshow video but I dont see myself talking and facing the camera. Not that I dont look good but I dont think I can deliver well
I will surely put this into consideration.
Thanks Lynn for this tips

Oh Herbert I would love to see you do a video, even if you are in it for 10 seconds! I think you would see amazing results as I found more people responded and connected with me. Video is a great way to share information but also a way to give your audience a personal insight to you! When you do your first video…. please be sure to let me know! Have fun and thank you for taking time to share your comments.
Lynn you have just given me a great idea.
Although we use video a lot on our blog posts we have quite a few blog posts that have no video on them.
So it should be easy as all the content for the video is already available. All I have to do is draw from it and make a quick video that links to that post. as always thanks for sharing.
